comfortable stay but could use some updates
The king room provided a good level of comfort. The attentive staff made check-in seamless and pleasant.
The decor of the hotel feels somewhat dated.

The pool area had a nice vibe, despite being a bit small. Friendly bartender was a highlight, made us feel welcomed right away.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but you get what you pay for.

Could improve cleanliness in common areas.

I loved the location of the New Pioneer. Right on the river, perfect for a walk with my dog. The view from my room was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made check-in a breeze. The outdoor pool looked inviting, and I could tell it was clean. However, there were cleanliness issues in the common areas that stood out. The ice machine was out of order during my stay as well, which was a letdown. Overall, I think the hotel could improve in basic maintenance and cleanliness to enhance the guest experience.

Relaxing, refreshing, rewarding
I spent the most refreshing nights in my Double Room with Two Double Beds! The views of the peaceful river were nice, and the pool was the perfect spot for a sunny afternoon. They even had live music to elevate the joyful atmosphere!
Totally recommend! ❤️✨

Cleanliness and room size were impressive, especially considering the price. The friendly staff and the nice lounge area contributed positively to the experience. However, the check-in process was frustrating due to slow service and lack of communication, which set a negative tone. My reservation issues and the minimal amenities in the room added to the disappointment.

Awesome place with free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a great outdoor pool. The staff once helped me with bug spray, which I remember fondly. I’m looking forward to my next city break here.

missingWrote a review on Jun 10limited amenities
The hotel's exterior resembles a tired low-rise motel, lacking aesthetic appeal. Once inside, you may find the upkeep leaves something to be desired, with cleaning frequency not meeting expectations. during a four-day stay, our room saw cleaning only once despite multiple requests. Additional letdowns included limited amenities like just one soap for the entire stay and a very noisy air conditioner which made resting difficult. Access to the Riverwalk requires stepping outside or navigating through other hotels, potentially inconvenient if you're managing a pet. Also, keep in mind that noise from adjacent rooms may disrupt your peace, echoing through thin walls.
